BELFAST — Wrestling teams from around the state gathered Saturday, Dec. 18 in Belfast to compete in the Belfast Wrestling Tournament. 

Teams participating in the event, for which results were just made available, included Belfast, Oceanside, Mount View, Mount Ararat, Skowhegan, Erskine Academy, Lawrence, Gardiner and Oxford Hills. 

Below are the individual results of area competitors. 

106 pounds: Hagen Chase (BEL) pinned Emma Shaw (SKOW) and Layla Purcell (MTA) to claim first place.

113 pounds: Madolin Ripley (OS) won by majority decision against Bryce Atkisson (OH), pinned Parker Hunter (ERK) and lost to Wallace “Wyn” Pooler (ERK) to claim second place. 

120 pounds: Connor Fournier (BEL) pinned Giacomo Smith (ERK), defeated Eli Farias (GAR) and lost by majority decision to Colby Nadeau (LAW) to claim second place. 

126 pounds: Ryker Evans (BEL) won by majority decision against Sybastian Garey (OH), was pinned by Jared Bellamare (OH), won by injury default against Nate Solorzano (ERK) and was pinned by Even Ahearn (GAR) to claim fourth place. 

126 pounds: Anna Pontillo (BEL) was pinned by Jared Bellamare (OH) and lost by majority decision against Sybastian Garey (OH). 

132 pounds: Gavin Ripley (OS) pinned Hunter Wormwood (OH), lost to Kaden Bonin (BEL), lost by injury default against Kyle Doody (GAR) and lost by injury default to Christ Watkinson (MTA) to finish in fourth place. 

132 pounds: Kaden Bonin (BEL) defeated Gavin Ripley (OS), pinned Hunter Wormwood (OH), pinned Christ Watkinson (MTA) and won by majority decision against Kyle Doody (GAR) to claim first place. 

138 pounds: Silas Spear (OS) was pinned by Dash Farrell (MTA) and claimed second place. 

145 pounds: David Anderson (BEL) was pinned by Herlin Martinez (MTA), was pinned by Aiden Clark (SKOW), was pinned by Colton Carter (LAW) and pinned Nate Baucom (MTA) to claim fourth place. 

152 pounds: Joey Brown (OS) was pinned by Ashton Darling (LAW), Spencer LeClair (MTA), Rocco Hayden (OH) and Wyatt Poulin (LAW) to claim fifth place. 

160 pounds: Gabe Kelley (BEL) pinned Hugo Smith (ERK), Ethan Gordon (MTA) and Mike Welch (SKOW) to claim first place. 

160 pounds: Francesco Martin (BEL) lost by technical pin against Mike Welch (SKOW) and was pinned by Bristol Leahy (OH). 

170 pounds: Pete Lovejoy (BEL) was pinned by Eitan Afrait (OH), won by majority decision against Nat Small (OS), pinned Cole Darling (LAW) and pinned Drake Ahearn (GAR) to place third. 

170 pounds: Nat Small (OS) was pinned by Drake Ahearn (GAR) and lost by majority decision to Pete Lovejoy (BEL). 

182 pounds: Ben Richardson (OS) was pinned by Lucas Coffil (MTA) and Hayden Riley (OH).
