Belfast Maskers announce cast for ‘A Christmas Story’ the musical

    BELFAST — The Belfast Maskers are proud to announce the cast for their upcoming production of A Christmas Story, the holiday musical based on the 1983 film by the same name.  

    This classic holiday tale centers on a mischievous, bespectacled boy, Ralphie, who dreams of getting a BB gun for Christmas. In the weeks before the big holiday, Ralphie, his friends and his family get into all kinds of situations — including run-ins with a bully, a tongue stuck to a flag pole, a bar of soap in the mouth, a garish leg lamp, and a Chinese Christmas dinner.  Filled with quirky and lovable characters, this zany, heartfelt, and nostalgic Christmas musical is a delight for the whole family.

    The cast includes many local theater veterans as well as several community members brand new to the stage.  Erik Perkins and Erica Rubin Irish will be playing the Old Man and the Mother.  Mark Durbin will star as the show's narrator, Jean Shepherd.  Mirabelle Kutsy-Durbin will play Raphie Parker and Silas Ociepka will play the younger brother, Randy.

    The adult ensemble includes Chip Curry, Bob Nichols, Tiffany Schofield, Angela Domenichelli, David Wharfe, Sasha Kutsy, Paula Tripp, Sean Ociepka, Beth Whitman, and Matthew Pease with Meg Nickerson as Miss Shields, the strict teacher.

    Rounding out the cast as the childrens' ensemble, Bumpus Hounds, and extras are Ada Curry,  Jane Rubin Irish, Lottie Eastham , Isa Lux,  Lydia Schofield, Chase Weaver, Eva Oceipka, Esme Deschamps, Jack Reader, Brynn Newsom, Noah Gilchrist, Azure Walauski, Claire McConnell,Riley Hall, Kai Kutsy-Durbin, Lily Reader, Sean McConnell, Claire Gilchrist, Lily Martinelli, Charlotte Martinelli.

    The Belfast Maskers are proud to be working with director, Wendy Schweikert, choreographers, Michelle Cox and Michelle Lemieux, costumer, Linda Marie, and music director, John Cameron.
