Belfast Free Library to host cartooning club for kids and teens

    BELFAST — The Belfast Free Library will host a cartooning club for kids and teens, ages 10 and up. The club will meet every Friday 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. starting April 27. Participants will explore drawing techniques and exercises to develop the imagination with graphic artist James Quiqley.

    Projects may include comic strips, autobiographical illustration, transforming stories to sequential art, and more. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged. Drawing materials will be provided.

    James Quigley is a graphic artist, illustrator, and cartoonist residing in Appleton. His work has appeared in the form of skateboard graphics, comic books and comic strips, animation, rock posters, and shirt graphics.
