OWLS HEAD — Barbara French Bennett, 85, passed away at her home, Monday, April 29, 2019.

She was the daughter of Edward Eugene and Adeline Jane French of Bennington, NH.

Barbara is survived by her husband Norman Bennett, 90, of Owls Head; their four children, Lynn Williams, of Owls Head, Richard Bennett of Pittsburg, PA, Teresa Crowe and her husband Richard Crowe of Peterborough NH, and Annette Mather and husband Paul Mather of South Thomaston; her grandchildren, Pam Bryer and her husband Zac Cornish of Rockland and their three children, and grandchildren, Jacob Lyons, Erin Lyons, Elizabeth Lyons, Reuben Lyons, Annie Morozko, Ali Lyons and Cyrus Lyons, Bennett Mather and Samuel Mather.

She is also survived by recently-found sister Helen McKendry of Manchester and a brother Alan Whittemore who lives in CA; as well as many great grandchildren, family and friends.

Norm and Barbara retired to Maine in 2005. While living in New Hampshire, Barbara worked in Hospice care and for the school lunch program. She enjoyed music, reading, good conversation and family. 

A small family ceremony will be announced at a later date.
