Belfast Marine Institute students in Genna Black and Chip Lagerbom's Marine Studies class at Belfast Area High School recently obtained data with water tests and observations at five locations along Penobscot Bay.
First station was at the town dock of Bucksport, followed by a visit to the Stockton Springs dock and then the Searsport town dock.
After taking observations at the Belfast town dock, students had lunch and then learned about lobster fishing from Captain David Black.
The final water test observation station was at Bayside.
Next, they will compare and contrast the data collected from the different stations and design hypotheses or questions for further inquiry.
