The awakening has begun and will continue
I recently had the pleasure of working with a group of amazing individuals to fund raise for the Knox County Republican Committee.
Volunteers made potato salad, shredded cabbage for coleslaw, baked brownies, and a local merchant donated ice for our canned drinks displayed in a small skiff. Our tables were decorated with glass canning jars filled with wildflowers and stems of local blueberries.
We held the event in a “cleaned up” barn with a volunteer strumming tunes on a guitar. Our stage was a large trailer that had been hauling hay just the week before. It was a grassroots team effort and the camaraderie we built in sharing the workload was a wonderful experience.
Compare this to a recent catered Democrat fundraiser. One group rolled up their sleeves, arrived in beat up pickup trucks, worked together from set up to clean up, and got the work done themselves. The other party paid people to put on a catered event, and their fancy attendees floated in, were entertained, and drifted out. I’m proud to be a Republican in Midcoast Maine, and I am thrilled by the recent endorsement of Donald Trump from RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard; they value the genuine efforts of the hardworking taxpayers. The awakening has begun and will continue. Won't you join us?
