Assaults, drug trafficking top Knox County grand jury indictments
ROCKLAND — The Knox County grand jury handed down their indictments April 4, which represented 26 defendants, including four inmates at the Maine State Prison. An indictment does not imply guilt.
Brian R. Burch, 24, Rockland, was indicted for burglary at the Warren Community School on Nov. 8, 2016, stealing drugs, Ritalin and/or Adderall, from the school, and aggravated criminal mischief to windows screens, a door window and medicine cabinet at the school, trafficking in prison contraband, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and violating a condition of release on Nov. 13. Burch was convicted of theft in Jan., 2012 in Rockland District Court and in Oct., 2012, in Knox County Superior Court, according to the indictment.
Karl S. Crute Jr., 44, of Cushing, was indicted for aggravated trafficking scheduled drugs, heroin, in Knox County from Sept. 27 through Nov. 15, 2016, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, violation of condition of release, four counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and criminal forfeiture of three handguns and a rifle seized in Cushing on Nov. 15, 2016.
Terrell G. Dubois, 32, Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for Class A aggravated assault after using a metal bar to cause bodily injury to another person on June 11, 2015. Dubois was convicted of elevated aggravated assault in 2008 and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon in Cumberland County Superior Court in Portland, according to the indictment.
Paul E. Fuller, 27, Maine State Prison, was indicted for aggravated assault by using a belt with a lock on the end to cause bodily injury on April 20, 2016.
Brendan Gray, 19, of Warren, was indicted for two counts of gross sexual assault in Warren on Sept. 1, 2015 and Sept. 1, 2016, unlawful sexual contact, violation of a condition of release. The alleged offense occurred with a male who had not attained the age of 12 years.
Nikki L. Gray, 24, of South China, was indicted for felony theft of items from Green with Envy and J.C. Penney in Rockland and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, two counts, for suboxone and clonazepam, on Oct. 28, 2016. Gray has previous convictions of theft in 2014 in Augusta District Court and in 2013 in Rockland District Court, according to the indictment.
Nathaniel B. Hussey, 35, of Camden, was indicted for aggravated assault on Feb. 26, domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal mischief, obstructing report of a crime for offenses that allegedly occurred in Camden.
Michelle M. Leonard, 50, and Harold V. Martin, 52, both of Waldoboro, were indicted for felony theft of more than $10,000 from an individual in Appleton from Feb. 19, 2016 through May 1, 2016. The couple was arrested in August 2016 by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly stealing $72,000 from the retirement account of an elderly man they worked for doing handyman jobs.
Charles A. Libby, 26, of Rockland, was indicted for operating after revocation and driving to endanger on Sept. 26, 2016. Libby has two convictions of operating after habitual offender revocation in 2015 in Rockland District Court, according to the indictment.
Christopher D. Luce, 30, of Portland, was indicted for criminal operating under the influence, operating beyond license restriction, refusing to submit to arrest on May 29, 2016. Luce had previous convictions of operating under the influence in 2007 and 2009 in Rockland District Court and Knox County Superior Court, according to the indictment.
Daniel D. Macisaac, 27, Maine State Prison, was indicted for Class A aggravated assault after using a shank to cause bodily injury on April 7, 2016, trafficking in prison contraband, a shank. Macisaac was convicted of robbery in 2014 and domestic violence terrorizing in 2011 in the Cumberland County Criminal Court in Portland, according to the indictment.
Clyde K. Maloney Jr., 71, of Cushing, was indicted for Class C operating after revocation on June 6, 2106. Maloney was convicted of operating under the influence in 2014 in Rockland District Court and again in 2016 in Knox County Unified Court in Rockland, according to the indictment.
Alan B. Norwood, 47, St. George, was indicted for aggravated criminal mischief, exceeding $2,000 in value, in St. George on Sept. 1, 2016, to the fishing boat Oracle owned by Joshua Hupper.
Jerry D. Pearse, 39, of Warren, was indicted for operating after revocation on Oct. 20, 2016. Pearse was convicted of operating under the influence in 2015 in Knox County Superior Court, according to the indictment.
Jason Michael Potter, 36, Maine State Prison, was indicted for aggravated assault after using a belt with a lock on the end to cause bodily injury on April 20, 2016.
Duston R. Reed, 35, of Friendship, was indicted for tampering with a witness, falsifying physical evidence, fishing violation: marking on May 27, 2016.
Ranae L. Robbins, 46, of Camden, was indicted for trafficking in heroin from Sept. 27 through Nov. 15 in Knox County, criminal forfeiture of $973 seized in Cushing on Nov. 15.
Daniel O. Ruffin, 57, Rockland, was indicted for aggravated assault on Nov. 17, 2016, in Rockland with a machete, domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, obstructing report of a crime, two counts of violating a condition of release and two counts of violating a protective order.
Sarah Sykes, 35, of Union, was indicted for trafficking in oxycodone in Union on Aug. 4.
Jessie J. Tirrell, 27, Union, was indicted for domestic violence aggravated assault in Union on Nov. 16, 2016, against a child younger than 6 years old, domestic violence assault on a child younger than 6 years old and domestic violence assault. Tirrell was arrested in November for allegedly fracturing an arm and trying to strangle an 18-month-old child.
Tiffany M. Tomah, 29, of Union, was indicted for trafficking in oxycodone on Aug. 4, criminal forfeiture of $750 in cash on Aug. 4.
William C. Ward, 45, of Warren, was indicted for two counts of felony theft of more than $1,000 in July 2014 and July 2015, forgery of a check.
Wesley S. Williams, 26, of Cushing, was indicted for felony domestic violence assault in Cushing on Nov. 4, 2016. Williams has two prior domestic violence convictions in 2014 and 2015 in Sarasota, Fla., according to the indictment.
Troy J. Woodman, 34, of Warren, was indicted for receiving stolen property belonging to J & J Construction on Sept. 25, violation of a condition of release on Sept. 25. Woodman was convicted of theft in 2009 in Rockland District Court and theft in 2014 in Knox County Superior Court, according to the indictment.
Jeremy M. Yeaton, 35, of Friendship, was indicted for unlawful possession of heroin on May 31, 2016.
