Ann L. Williamson, obituary
CAMDEN — Ann Linda Williamson passed away quietly at Windward Gardens in Camden on April 6, 2021.
Ann was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Nov 12, 1933, and was the daughter of Archie and Melinda Ferrarini. Growing up in Somerville, Massachusetts, Ann was dedicated to music. She enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1952. A long-time resident of Manchester, Maine, Ann spent the last few years of her life living in Camden.
Ann returned to music in the 1970s picking her trombone back up and completing a B.S. in music from UMA. Ann played with many groups and ensembles, most notably continuing her military career with the 195th Maine Army National guard band.
Ann was also well known for her many years as bank teller working at First Consumers Bank and Gardiner Savings Bank in Augusta and Manchester.
Ann is survived by three children, Antionette Detmer of Riverhead, New York, David Williamson of Pittston, and Charles Williamson Jr, of Union.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, Charles F. Williamson of Manchester; her parents; and both siblings, Virginia Ferrarini of Waterville, and Archie Ferrarini of Colorado.
No service is planned, as per her wishes. Donations can be made to the Sea Shepard Conservation Society. Interment will be held at the Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Augusta at the convenience of the family.
