BELFAST — Allen Arthur Weaver, Sr., 66, of Belfast, Maine, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday November 26, 2019, at Maine Medical Center.

He was born Tuesday June 16, 1953 in Bangor, Maine, the son of the late Arthur Weaver and  Pauline (Currie) Ward.

Allen served in the United States Air Force.  He started his career in law enforcement for the City of Belfast in 1981 serving as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Sergeant, and Chief of Police until his retirement. 

Allen went on to work at the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency for over 10 years.  His greatest enjoyments were hunting, fishing and time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Jennifer (Brickey) Weaver, of Belfast; his children Michael Weaver and wife Angela, of Louisiana; Allen A. Weaver, Jr., and wife Kimberley, of Belfast; Brianna and Arthur Weaver, both of Belfast; his siblings Mark, Rickie, Larry, Mary and Gary; grandchildren Stephen, Christopher, Michael Allen, and Ashlee Weaver; and many other special family and close friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday Novemeber 29, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast. 

A funeral will follow on Saturday November 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at The First Church in Belfast 8 Court Street, Belfast, and interment will follow at Greenlawn in Swanville.
