The 3rd Annual Art in the Barn is one of several stops along this year's St. George Art Tour, Sept. 12, 2026. The Art in the Barn event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Andrew Robinson Homestead, 945 River Road, St. George. 

 

"If you love art, don’t miss the St. George Business Alliance’s 'Touring Peninsula Art' event on Saturday, September 12," said an SGBA news release. 

 

From the St. George town line to the tip of the peninsula, SGBA member artists, studios, galleries, and shops will be open and displaying a wide variety of work by local artists and photographers. Colorful “ART TOUR” lawn signs and event maps will identify participating locations, hours and reception times. A map with artist information will be available here. Some businesses will be open throughout the weekend, download the map and info for times and days. 

 

A St. George Historical Society news release invites the public to "join us for a vibrant celebration of local artistry and craft."

 

The news release continues: "This year's exhibition features an exceptional collection of work available for viewing and purchase, showcasing the unique talents of Gavin Mcskeane, Eric Darling, Hannah Laird, Rick Bernard, and Amy Ruben. Visitors can also explore captivating pieces by Benjamin Dole, Nancy Gribble-Tay, JM Connors, and Evelyn Donnelly."

 

The exhibition highlights a diverse array of mediums, ranging from custom metal work and handcrafted leather design to paintings of various styles and the region's famous recycled lobster rope art, according to the Historical Society.

 

To complement the gallery experience, musician Jim Gibson will provide live entertainment throughout the afternoon, performing a blend of blues, soul, funk, and jazz.

 

The historic Andrew Robinson Homestead will be open for tours throughout the event.

 

Refreshments will be served.

 

Admission is free, and donations are appreciated. The Homestead is owned by the St. George Historical Society and is maintained entirely through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of community support.
