NORTHPORT — The 114th Camden High School Alumni Banquet which is being held on Friday, August 9, in the Ballroom at Point Lookout Resort’s Hedges Hall, 67 Atlantic Highway (Route 1) Northport.

The deadline for buying tickets is Friday, August 2.

Ticket prices remain the same at $30 per person. They cannot be purchased at the door. You may obtain yours by sending a check, payable to CHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, to Sheila McFarland, 448 Youngtown Road, Lincolnville, ME 04849. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for ticket return. Also, include a brief informational sheet giving your year of graduation, maiden name, spouse/guest name, etc.

The evening’s events will begin at 4 p.m. with a social hour and cash bar (open from 4-8 p.m.).

Musical entertainment for the evening will be provided along with a slide show of photos from 1920 to present. Anyone wishing to have photos added, contact Diann Henderson.

The dining room opens at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The menu will include: Dinner Rolls, Farm Fresh Garden Salad, Soup de Jour, Braised Chicken in Creamy Marsala Sauce, Baked Haddock with Seasoned Crumb Topping, Mashed Potatoes, Chef’S selection of Fresh Vegetables, Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis and Decaf coffee.

Tables will be reserved for the reunion classes of ‘44, ‘49, ‘54, ‘59, and ‘64.

The silent auction will be open, starting at 4 p.m., and continue throughout the meal with many items donated by local businesses and alumni. Anyone wishing to donate a new or gently used item, contact David Ames at damesref@tidewater.net or call him at (207)789-5118. All donations will be appreciated and can be made at any time from now through August 4.

Leis will be on sale for $5 for the “Heads and Tails” game. Winners will receive donated bottles of wine. Proceeds from the “Heads and Tails” game help support the Scholarship Fund.

A short business meeting will follow the meal, during which reunion classes and committee members will be recognized. CHS alumni who have passed away in the last year will be remembered. Special Recognition Awards based on contributions to the CHS Alumni Association, Camden Community and prominence to Camden and the local area will also be made.

“Please pass this information along to all Camden High School and Camden Rockport High School Classes of 66, 67 and 68 Alumni. We don’t want anyone to miss out on the chance to socialize with classmates and other alumni, renew old friendships and enjoy a fun filled evening,” said organizers, in a news release.
