Discover the joy of knitting your very own triangle shawl with Annie Buchholz on Wednesday, June 18th from 9am-12pm! Perfect for beginners and seasoned knitters alike, this class includes everything you need to create a stunning accessory: a carefully curated kit featuring luxurious Maine made yarn, premium circular needles, and an easy to read pattern.
This is a beginner friendly class for people with a basic understanding of knitting. It is necessary to already know how to do the knit and purl stitches. Annie will teach you how to do a "garter tab" cast on, place stitch markers, and customize your color pattern.
Annie Buchholz, one of our managers of The Barn, has a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Knitting was one of Annie's first creative mediums. She has been knitting for 20 years and even had the chance to take a sculptural knitting course in college where she learned to use knitting as an element in conceptual art pieces. Nowadays, Annie is hooked on triangle shawls. She makes a couple every year for her friends and loves creating her own colorwork patterns.
