2022 Grant Applications Open at United Midcoast Charities

Event has passed

Starting March 1st, nonprofit organizations providing the basic needs of food, housing, health & safety, and economic security can apply for this year’s grants from United Midcoast Charities (UMC). The applications are the first step in a rigorous months-long review process by the UMC Grants Committee and Board.

Now celebrating its 80th Anniversary, UMC provides vital funding to dozens of agencies here in Knox and Waldo counties.

“We’re looking forward to our annual cycle of grant applications from what typically are more than 70 agencies across Knox and Waldo counties,” said Grants Committee Chair Jim Hengerer in announcing this year’s grants cycle. “The process engages our entire Board and includes extensive interviews and onsite visits. The results make a huge difference for thousands of our friends and neighbors in need. And there’s no shortage of needs, especially this year.”

The annual grants application process closes March 31 this year. To apply, go to: www.UnitedMidcoastCharities.org/Apply.

Founded in 1942, UMC energizes Midcoast Maine non-profits through finance and guidance, supporting a network of resources stronger than any single organization. UMC's primary focus areas are food, housing, health & safety, and economic security. Learn more about United Midcoast Charities by visiting www.unitedmidcoastcharities.org or call 207-236-2299.
