MONTVILLE — Beverly A. (Lucas) Tyler, 69 of Montville, passed away unexpectedly September 16, 2017 at Waldo County General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Belfast on February 17, 1948, the daughter of Frederick "Brub" and Hazel (Mehuren) Lucas.

Beverly graduated from Belfast High School , Class of 1966. In 1969 she married Ronald Tyler as well as graduated from Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing. After marriage and graduation, she worked for Augusta General for one year, then moved on to the Augusta State Hospital which later became AMHI where she worked for 27 years and retired as a nurse manager. Beverly was involved in the Grange as well as being an excellent cook who loved to bring her beloved macaroni and cheese and banana split cake to family functions. She loved hunting season because she would cook for all "the boys" who came on Saturday. Beverly also enjoyed teaching her grandchildren to cook using her recipes. She loved her flowers and gardening and will be sadly missed by her Pomeranian "Katie".

She is predeceased by her parents and daughter-in-law, Kim Tyler. Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Tyler; her sons, Rodney Tyler and wife Lori, and Rick Tyler; grandchildren, Lucas, Derrick, Jonathan, Lauren and Ryan; siblings, Steve Lucas and wife Cheryl, Donnie Lucas and wife Patsy, Dennis Lucas and wife Barbara, Edna-Mae Wadsworth and husband David; brother-in-law Mendall Tyler and wife Hope and sister-in-law Darlene Sampson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, September 21st at Riposta Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
