A local tour company that began as a Halloween season specialty and developed into a season-long offering with tours throughout Midcoast Maine has been named in second-place as one of "Ten Unforgettable Tours Everyone in Maine Should Take at Least Once" on the website Only in Your State (onlyinyourstate.com/maine/10-unforgettable-tours-me/). Red Cloak Haunted History Tours has been offering evening tours in Camden since 2009 and Rockland since 2014.

Red Cloak Haunted History Tours began in 2007 with one tour in Damariscotta and has since grown into a widely diversified company that offers lantern-lit evening walking tours in eight Midcoast towns, cruise ship shore excursions in Bar Harbor in partnership with Intercruises, and works with Maine Maritime Museum on two offerings: "Lighthouse Legends and Lore" tours aboard the museum excursion vessel; and the "Famed Captains and Shipbuilders" cemetery tour aboard the Bath trolley.

The parent company, Red Cloak Tours, also offers custom adventures in Maine focused on historical sites, lighthouses, and locations with paranormal activity; although any tour request is welcome.

Red Cloak Tours has also led expeditions to international destinations, documented in their online publication Mysterious Destinations Magazine (mysteriousdestinationsmagazine.com/mysterious-destinations-library), including an active paranormal exploration at the Johnny Cash House in Jamaica. The company is based in Damariscotta with a satellite office in Bar Harbor. They are members of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, as well as other Midcoast Maine area chambers. Red Cloak Tours was created and developed by Sally Lobkowicz of Waldoboro, who continues to own and operate the business.
