Cocaine, heroin arrests made in South Paris
Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said two Brooklyn, New York, men have been arrested in connection with the sale of heroin and cocaine in South Paris. Drug agents arrested Tuesday Dennis “Rocky” Roman, 36, and Jose “Justo” Rivera, 24 , both from Brooklyn. Roman’s charges include: Trafficking a Schedule “W” Drug - (Heroin) and Trafficking a Schedule “W” Drug - (Cocaine Base) and Rivera was charged with violating his bail conditions.
Maine Drug Enforcement agents, as part of an ongoing investigation of cocaine and heroin sales in the Oxford Hills region, arrested Roman at 2 Paris Hill Rd in South Paris. MDEA Supervisor Matt Cashman said agents found inside the home prepackaged cocaine and heroin, with a street value of $5,000, scales, packaging materials, and $2,500 in cash.
Rivera was out on bail on previous coke and heroin charges.
Both men were taken to the Oxford County Jail. MDEA was assisted by the police departments from Oxford, Norway, and Paris PD, along with State Police, and the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department.
MDEA is continuing the investigation. Additional arrests are expected.
