Glenda Mansfield, obituary
SOUTH THOMASTON — Glenda B. Mansfield, 74, flew to Jesus on Feb. 27, 2016, as her loving family and adoring husband surrounded and held her.
She was born Sept. 29, 1941, in Lynn, Mass.
Glenda loved spending time with her family and gathering every week for traditional Sunday dinners. She loved the Lord and would witness to anyone she met. Glenda loved yard sales and going with her husband to Goodwill, where she would buy items for her family or to give to someone in need. She was known and loved for her humor and quick wit, which lives on in her children and grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Charles R. Mansfield Sr. of South Thomaston; her daughters, Charlene and David Coyle of South Thomaston, Kathy “Suzie” and Dan Murray of Charlotte, N.C., Brenda and Rich Burns of Haverhill, Mass., Jennifer "Puff" Mansfield of Warren, Heidi Mansfield and Deb Tooley, both of Rockland. She is predeceased by her son, Charles R. Mansfield Jr.; and daughter, Robin Hall.
She took great pride in her grandchildren, Kim Sarhanis, Meaghan Coyle, Noah Coyle, Jeremiah Taylor, Amanda White, Amber Rawski, Katie Hopper, Matthew Murray, Daniel Murray Jr., William Murray, Sully Burns, Sawyer Burns,and Sarita Drinkwater; and loved her 16 beautiful great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her brothers “Jimmy,” “Bobby,” Wayne and Richard; and her sisters, Carol and Joanie.
She was predeceased by, and always missed her brother, “Ralphie.”
The family invites all to dress in Red Sox attire and celebrate her life on Sunday, March 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 25 Westbrook St. in South Thomaston, the home she loved.
