SEARSPORT — Charlotte H. Brackett, 88, went to her eternal home peacefully on Dec. 13, 2015, with her family at her side. She has lived in Searsport for 48 years.

Charlotte was born to Leo W. Smith and Helen M. Smith of Webster Plantation. She was one of 10 children and all have preceded her in death.

She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Fred E. Brackett of Searsport; one son, Eugene M. Grey and his partner, Becky, of Millington, Tenn.; one daughter, Betsy E. Wallace and her partner, Mark, of Pittston; one granddaughter, Signe E. Wallace and her partner, Gordon, of Waldoboro; one grandson, Corey E Wallace and his partner, Becky, also of Waldoboro. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Mikayla R. Wallace and Cole S. Wallace; as well as several nieces and nephews, many good friends and her precious dog, Sarah.

Her wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service held at a later date to be determined by the family.

Interment of her ashes will be at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
