Camden Hills student wins statewide art scholarship contest

LIBERTY — Water-based ink T-shirt printer Liberty Graphics has announced the winner of its 18th annual Art and Our Natural Environment contest for Maine high school seniors. A close-up view of a beautiful Maine salmon, done in color pencil by Elena Laustsen, earned the $1,000 prize.
Laustsen, who graduated June 5 from Camden Hills Regional High School, will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall. She is a lifelong Mainer who enjoys sailing and figure skating.
