SEARSPORT — Searsport Shores Ocean Campground is offering a free camping weekend, May 8 - 10, for guests willing to help with spring cleaning.

Some food will be provided, along with a bonfire

Chores that will need to be accomplished include raking, cleaning up brush, painting (creative and cosmetic), cleaning the rec hall, washing windows in the store and bathhouse, building a variety of things, setting up playground equipment, gardening, sewing and a host of other tasks.

The campground will provide cookout lunch next to the beach bonfire on Saturday, and is planning a potluck supper later in the evening. They will prepare turkey or ribs, participants will bring side dishes to share.
