Farnsworth to close galleries temporarily for capital improvements

ROCKLAND — Thanks to the New Markets Tax Credit program, the Farnsworth Art Museum has secured the necessary funding to begin major capital improvements to their Rockland and Cushing properties.
This will necessitate the Farnsworth to close to the public from April 13 through May 15.
The museum will reopen to the public Saturday, May 16 and resume regular hours.
While undergoing structural upgrades, the Olson House in Cushing will remain closed throughout the 2015 season, and will reopen to the public on Memorial Day weekend 2016.
