Oak Hill claims title to Rockland Recreation Invitational

ROCKLAND – The Rockland Recreation Center was filled with the sounds of bouncing basketballs in the hands of fifth and sixth grade boys all weekend as the Rec held its annual boys invitational tournament for fifth and sixth grade teams.
This year’s three day tournament was won by Oak Hill of Sabattus who defeated the Georges River Buccaneers 44-18 to claim the championship.
Georges River had lost their first game of the tournament and fought their way back through the losers bracket to earn the right to play in the championship game. However that was their third game in a row and the young men were just plain out of gas which allowed Oak Hill to roll to the win.
