Share the Love Community Auction recipients

CAMDEN — Four community organizations recently received checks from money raised at the Share the Love Community Auction held February 7. Representatives from New Hope for Women, the Knox County Coalition for the Homeless, the Knox County Health Clinic and the Camden Christian Food Pantry shared in the $10,000 raised at the auction.
Volunteers from the organizations assisted in preparing for the auction and during the night of the big event.
Funds were raised to help with emergency needs for housing, health care, fuel and food.
In the four years St. Peter's has conducted the Share the Love Community Auction more than $43,000 has been raised and shared with more than 15 community organizations that address these needs in Knox County.
St. Peter's is a small parish, but works in collaboration with organizations that are addressing these needs. All of the auction items were donated from business and friends from Knox County and other parts of Maine.
More than 100 people from all over Knox County filled the church hall. All refreshments were donated and prepared by a kitchen crew. Bruce and Becky Gamage donated their services as auctioneers.
