Knox County Sheriff’s beat: Loud music, domestics, crashes
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office received 238 calls for service Jan. 25-31. Those calls that are not listed below include those associated with ATV problems, alarms, 911 hang-ups, nuisance, erratic vehicles and suspicious complaints. An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
January 25
Subsequent to a traffic stop in Warren, Deputy Paul Spear issued a summons for expired insurance.
Deputy John Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Cushing involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.
Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving three vehicles. All operators were transported to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport for non-life threatening injuries. Reportable damage sustained.
Deputy Paul Pinkham responded to a report of loud music in Warren. A warning was issued for disorderly conduct.
January 26
Subsequent to a traffic stop in St. George, Hansen issued a summons for speed.
Deputy Robert Potter responded to a report of a domestic on Vinalhaven. After speaking with the subjects involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only and the subjects were separated.
Potter responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Vinalhaven involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.
January 27
Deputies Arthur Smith and Nathaniel Jack responded to Warren to assist a male having suicidal thoughts. The subject was transported to Pen Bay Medical Center for an evaluation.
January 28
Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in South Thomaston involving a single vehicle striking a deer. No damage sustained.
Deputy Matt Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.
Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.
January 29
Subsequent to a traffic stop in Thomaston, Deputy Jack issued a summons for operating unregistered motor vehicle.
Spear arrested Monica Anthony-Pinto, 25, of Tenants Harbor on an outstanding arrest warrant. She was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Appleton involving two vehicles. One operator was transported to Pen Bay for non-life threatening injuries. Reportable damage sustained.
Sgt. John Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Thomaston involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.
Deputies Jack, Joslyn and Sgt. Palmer responded to a report of an adult male making threats of harming himself in Warren. The male was located and transported to Pen Bay for an evaluation.
January 30
Deputy Spear began an investigation of theft in Warren. This is still an active investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.
Deputy Jack responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in St. George involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.
January 31
Deputy Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in South Thomaston involving three vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.
Deputy Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.
