Camden Hills alpine skiing team raising funds for speed suits
ROCKPORT — The Camden Hills Regional High School Alpine Ski Team needs your help!
“We are one of a very few high school ski teams in Maine who currently do not have Team Downhill suits,” said head coach Ryan Hurley. “We would like to purchase 16-17 suits so we can outfit our team and alternates at the State Ski Meet. These types of expenditures are not in the school budget and our skiers would greatly appreciate your help and support as we try to chase state championships! Team suits would be a great step forward for us as we try and forge a team identity! Downhill suits are very expensive but they last upwards of 10 years if cared for properly.”
To raise funds to purchase the suits, the team is selling hoodies and long sleeve t-shirts.
With four days remaining in the fundraiser, 45 shirts/hoodies have been sold, but Hurley is aiming for 100 pieces being sold and ultimately, $6,000 raised. Thus far, $1,100 has been raised.
Both are in black, with the shirt costing $30 each and the hoodie costing $35 each.

“Please help us come together as a team and represent our school and community in a way that makes us all proud,” Hurley said.
