Coastal Children’s Museum of Rockland closes for September Spruce Up week of cleaning
ROCKLAND — The Coastal Children’s Museum will be taking a week off to clean, re-paint, and repair from the first to the 9th of September. The museum will be reopening on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m., and will return to their normal hours of Wednesday through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Volunteers helping to clean, paint, or wash would be most appreciated. Anyone interested in helping can email the museum at info@coastalchildrensmuseum.org.
While the museum is being cleaned, staff and volunteers will be reorganizing. Any extra supplies and unused exhibit materials will then be on sale at the End of Summer Tag Sale happening at the museum on Saturday, Sept. 20. The museum will be collecting donations of items in good or excellent condition including children’s clothing, books, toys and other accessories for this annual end of summer sale perfect for parents, teachers, and homeschoolers to get a great deal.
Located at 75 Mechanic St., Rockland the Coastal Children’s Museum is a non-profit dedicated to providing an opportunity for children aged 2-9 and their caregivers to explore, discover and learn though play about the natural world, the arts and sciences, and the diversity of Maine’s coast.
