Maralyn Mae Hooper, obituary
ROCKLAND — Maralyn Mae Hooper, 84, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025 at Breakwater Commons in Rockland.
Maralyn was born in Camden on April 9, 1941. She was the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Clifford) Hooper.
In her younger years, she went to Camden High School, later on, she lived at the Mobius House in Warren, where she made more friends. Later when her health started declining, she moved to the Knox Nursing Home in Rockland. The staff was very good to her. When the nursing home closed, she moved to the new facility, Breakwater Commons. Her niece Liz would do her hair every week until her health declined in the last two months. She was a spit fire and she would let you know when she was upset. She was also a loving sweet person, whom the entire staff loved. And she loved them.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Beverly Patten (Husband Howard), brother, Richard Hooper, and a niece, Fran Bodman.
She is survived by her niece Liz Bean (Jeff), Melody Dugan, and Fonda Woodman (Doug) all of Warren and a nephew David Patten (Tammy) of Appleton. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday June 2, 2025 at 2pm at Mt. View Cemetery in Camden.
