Bruce and Randy Mailloux to be honored at 2025 Golden Eagle Dinner
BELFAST — Longtime Belfast residents Bruce and Randy Mailloux will be honored at this year’s Katahdin Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, Golden Eagle Dinner on May 15, 2025, at the Belfast Yacht Club, located at 15 Front Street. The Golden Eagle Dinner is an annual celebration with three important goals:
- To recognize and thank individuals who have made significant contributions to the community.
- To bring people together for an evening of fun and fellowship.
- To raise critical funds for the Katahdin Area Council, BSA, supporting scouting programs that shape the future leaders of the region.
This year’s honorees, Bruce and Randy Mailloux, have left an indelible mark on Belfast and beyond.
Randy Mailloux, a dedicated local attorney, has served the community for decades and is credited as the driving force behind the establishment of Waldo County Habitat for Humanity. His tireless efforts have provided safe and affordable housing for countless families in need.
Bruce Mailloux dedicated his career to the education and well-being of students in Belfast and across Waldo County. As both principal and superintendent, he provided steady leadership, always advocating for students, teachers, and the community. His role in guiding the formation of RSU 71 was a testament to his vision and commitment to collaboration, ensuring that five towns could come together to strengthen their schools. Bruce’s impact on education in our region is immeasurable, and his legacy will continue to shape generations to come. His leadership, kindness, and unwavering dedication will always be remembered with gratitude.
