Medomak Middle School Seventh Grade Baseball report, May 7-11

Medomak Middle School's seventh grade baseball team hit the road Tuesday, May 7, to play Oceanside Middle School's seventh grade team and ended up losing 10-1 in 7 innings.

Medomak did not get a hit, and Oceanside walked none, so their only run came by a hit batter and a squeeze play in the fifth.

Oceanside scored two in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the sixth to complete the victory behind good pitching from Trevor F. and Everett T.

Jacob McKellar pitched well for the Riverhawks with support from Jariden Fullerton and Bradley Carlson. Hitting for the Mariners were Felix C. with a triple and 2 runs; Everett T. single, double, run; Finn E. double, run; Trevor F. hit, 2 runs; Zach W. hit, run; Caden G. hit; Wyatt M. run; Brent B. run; and Logan B. run.

Medomak Middle School seventh grade boys were looking to get back on the winning track Saturday, May 11, by playing two early morning, five-inning games in Belfast versus Troy Howard Middle School. However it was not to be in two entertaining baseball games where Medomak lost 3-0 and 8-6.
 
In the first game, Bradley Carlson went the distance giving up the three runs on seven hits, three strikeouts and only two walks; while Gus allowed three hits with 11 strikeouts and two walks.
 
For the Riverhawks, the hits came from Riley Eaton, Cian Lally and Sol Smith. For the Lions, Zach had a double and a run. They got singles from Zephyr, Cole, Ashton, Gus, Braylon and Thatcher, and runs from Quillan and Thatcher.
 
Game Two had a lot more action as Medomak got five in the third and one in the fourth while Troy Howard plated one in the second, 1 in the fourth, 4 in the fifth to tie the game and 2 in the sixth to take the lead that would prove the winning runs.
 
Pitching for MMS were Jacob McKellar, Jariden Fullerton and Riley Eaton.
 
For Troy Howard Middle School, Ian, Zach, Cole and Ashton combined for the win.
Medomak got hits from Carlson, Lally and Smith; while Troy Howard's contributions came from Zach with a single, double two runs scored; Ian hit, run; Zephyr hit, run; Quillan two hits; Tyson two hits, run; Braylon hit, run; Thatcher hit, run; and Ty run.
