Eva Murray to read from her recent work at Hope Library
Eva Murray will read from some of her recent work in person at the Hope Library on Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m.
Eva lives on Matinicus. She has written three books, Well Out to Sea, (2010), Island Schoolhouse (2012) and Island Birthday (2015) and provides essays for a number of publications, including The Free Press, Pen Bay Pilot and Maine Boats Homes & Harbors. Those who know Eva know that she can bake, drive a truck and like many people who live on an island 20 miles off the Maine coast, can do lots of things the rest of us would probably hire someone else to do.
As treasurer of the Matinicus Island Library Association, Eva understands the value of small libraries to their community.
This is a free event. Tea and home-baked items will be served. We will pass the hat with proceeds divided between the Hope and Matinicus libraries.
Hope Library is small and seating is limited.
