CAMDEN — Peopleplace’s 40th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser takes place Saturday, June 1, from 6 - 9 p.m., at the Camden Yacht Club.

Join for an evening of festivity and reflection as the school honors four decades of educational service and support for Maine's young families.

“The event promises to be an unforgettable night, featuring live entertainment by the 11-piece band The Right Track, delicious food and an open bar — along with the opportunity to reconnect with friends, alumni, family, and the extended Peopleplace community,” said Peopleplace, in a news release.

With the goal of raising $40,000 in commemoration of its milestone anniversary, Peopleplace invites attendees to participate in various activities, including a raffle with prizes such as Colin Page artwork, overnight stays at the Craignair, Norumberga and elsewhere, rounds of golf at the Samoset, preschool ballet class with Camden Ballet Theatre, gift certificates to Bufflehead Sailing Charters and the Causeway, and more.

Additionally, guests can support scholarships at Peopleplace by buying a custom brick for the school's front walkway with a commemorative engraving of the givers' choosing. Purchasing merchandise can also help to scholarship fundraising efforts.

“Community presence at this celebration and fundraiser will not only contribute to the success of the event but will also directly impact the lives of families and children in the year to come,” said Peopleplace.
