UPDATE: Three injured in Warren crash involving car and motorcycle

WARREN — Both riders of a motorcycle that was involved in a motor vehicle crash Sunday evening were eventually transported to trauma hospitals due to serious injuries.
Based on investigation into the Aug. 27, 2023 crash that occurred just after 9 p.m., at the intersection of Beechwood Street and Camden Road (Route 90), Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies have determined that a 2018 Indian Chief motorcycle, operated by William Soule, 52, pulled out from Beechwood Street onto Camden Road into the path of a 2011 Subaru Outback that was traveling north on Camden Road.
The operator of the Subaru, Jessica Heffernan, 39, of Hancock, was unable to stop and attempted to swerve, according to KCSO Chief Deputy Curt Andrick.
The motorcycle was knocked down and skidded several feet down the road before stopping.
The Subaru swerved towards the oncoming lane and after hitting the motorcycle continued across the opposing lane. The car spun around 180 degrees before leaving the left hand side of the roadway. It then travelled down into a shallow ditch where it rolled onto its right side.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Soule was transported to Pen Bay Medical Center with serious injuries. He was then flown by LifeFlight of Maine to a Portland hospital. His passenger on the motorcycle, Heidi White, 48, of Warren, was transported to PBMC for life threatening injuries. She was then flown by LifeFlight of Maine to a Bangor hospital.
Heffernan was transported to PBMC with minor injuries.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Warren Fire, Warren EMS, Waldoboro EMS and Oyster River Towing.
WARREN — The three people involved in a motor vehicle crash Sunday night in Warren were all transported to medical care facilities for injuries sustained in the crash.
Just after 9:05 p.m., Aug. 27, 2023, Warren Fire and Warren Ambulance were called to the intersection of Beechwood Street and Camden Road due to reports of a crash involving a passenger car and a motorcycle. Two people had been riding on the motorcycle in the moments prior.
At the request of on-scene responders, LifeFlight of Maine flew to Pen Bay Medical Center to meet the ambulance at the helipad and assume care of one of the patients.
Knox County Sheriff’s deputies also responded to the scene, as did two Waldoboro EMS ambulances.
Oyster River Towing hauled away both vehicles.
The scene of the crash was reopened to traffic at 11 p.m.
