New Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital to open August 23
BLUE HILL — Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital will open its doors to a brand-new facility. On move day, patients will be safely transported from the old hospital to new private rooms facing Blue Hill Bay. All services will remain on campus, with some departments moving to the Sussman Medical Center.
Parts of the campus will continue to be a construction zone, with fencing in place for safety. During this time, patients are encouraged to arrive early, to ensure they get to appointments on time.
The hospital will be accessible from both Water Street and Parker Point Road. Patient and visitor parking, as well as Emergency Department drop off and reserved handicapped spots will be available in the Water Street lot as well as on the main hospital campus. Parking attendants will be located at both entrances assisting everyone to convenient parking and direction to their needed location.
