CAMDEN — Brenda Louise Reed, 74, passed away peacefully at Bella Point in Camden on June 23, 2023. Brenda was born in Westbrook on April 7, 1949, to Ralph Wescott and Bernice (Knight) Wescott.

She grew up in Westbrook and attended and graduated from local schools.

Brenda worked for Kodak Film Company, was a seamstress and later became a CNA. She enjoyed helping others very much.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, she was a very loving, caring, and spiritual woman. Family was very important to her, and she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Hannah. She was truly meant to be a grandmother.

Brenda was a member of the Union Grange.

She was predeceased by her parents and husband, Dennis Reed.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Samantha Ames and her life partner Mike Colson of Warren; son, Michael Reed of Warren; granddaughter, Hannah Stanley and husband Drew of Waldoboro; great grandchildren Emma and Andrew Stanley of Waldoboro; sister, Karen Eiskamp of Portland; niece, Carrie Telford of Huntersville, North Carolina; nephew, Daniel Fitzgerald of Portland; and cousin, Jeanne Rafuse of Gorham.

A memorial service for Brenda and her husband, Dennis, will be held on July 7, 2023, at 11 a.m., at Hall Funeral Home, 78 Main Street, in Thomaston, with Rev. Mark Holden officiating.

The family would like to thank the aides at Bella Point Camden for all they have done for Brenda throughout her time spent there.
