Organizations announce closings ahead of March 4 storm

Knox County is forecasted to receive approximately 5 - 8 inches of snow on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Some forecasts predict that the storm will begin around 3 a.m., and will last through the afternoon.
In light of this forecast, organizations have begun closing or postponing services.
Mid-Coast Solid Waste Transfer Station in Rockport will be closed ALL DAY Saturday, March 4. The facility will re-open on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 8 a.m.
Due to the forecast of inclement weather the Warren Transfer Station will be closed tomorrow March 4.
Due to the forecast of inclement weather, the St. George Transfer Station will be closed Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Walk-in care practices associated with Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital will be closed Saturday, March 4
