It takes a village. Thank you, local businesses

Thu, 01/12/2023 - 8:15am

I want to thank five local businesses for their generosity in supporting Adas Yoshuron Synagogue’s 31st annual Christmas Day Community Dinner (takeout style), served at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Rockland.

Thank you, Belfast Hannaford, for donating reusable grocery bags.

Thank you, Fred Ribeck of Ribeck Design Company, for your iconic poster.

Thank you, Patrick Cazemajou, Chef of the Atlantic Baking Company, for your breads and pastries.

Thank you, John and Sheila Barnstein, of Mainely Poultry, for donating enough turkeys for over 200 dinners.

Thank you, Melissa Kelly, Chef of Primo Restaurant, and your upbeat and terrific staff, for cooking the entire turkey dinner, which included turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, roasted vegetables, and yams.

Chef Kelly and her staff not only cooked the entire mouth-watering meal, they packaged it, and transported it to St. Peter’s Church, where they assembled the meal, dessert, breads, and side dishes and packed everything into reusable grocery bags.

Thank you to these civic-minded businesses for your support of our midcoast community.

With gratitude.
