VINALHAVEN — Harold “Sonny” Warren, 92, died at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Bar Harbor on September 14, 1929, he was the son of Frank and Neva Grindle Warren. In Sonny’s 92 years he had 50 jobs, served his country, and lobstered for 75 years. In 1954 he married his wife of 57 years, Harriet Martin.

He is survived by his sons, Harlan Warren, Spencer Dyer and his wife Kristina; daughter, Laura Lazaro and her husband Geno Lazaro who he considered another son; grandchildren, Craig Lazaro and his wife Sarah, Kurt Lazaro and his wife Hannah, Katie Young and her husband Matt, Rhiannon Dyer, Sydney Dyer, Chris Weller, Amanda Weller, Elsea Desmond; great-grandchildren, Connor, Chad, Blake, Brayden, Sonny, and Libby Lazaro, Davidson and Haven Young, and Tavis and Curtis Weller; dear friends Jen and Kevin Desmond; his nephew, Bobby Warren, who was his best friend; and several nieces and nephews.

Sonny was predeceased by his wife, Harriet; daughter-in-law MaryRuth Warren; as well as his siblings, Iris, Bud, Arlene, Louise, Bill, Frank, Bonnie, Joan and Philip and their spouses.
