OWLS HEAD — Sabrina “Brina” C. Stewart, 63, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Penbay Medical Center in Rockport with her loving family by her side, following a short battle with liver cancer.

She was born May 9, 1958 in Rockland, Maine. She was lucky enough to have two moms; her birth mother Leith Grotton Dow, and her adopted mother Minnie Dow. Sabrina graduated from Rockland District High School in 1976.

Sabrina married the love of her life, David, on August 28, 1976. They eventually purchased their first home in Rockland and later moved to Owls Head. Sabrina had two biological children, Charity and Tiffany. She also adopted three children, Makayla, Jazmyn, and Brock. Sabrina was a devoted mother and would drop anything if one of them needed her.

Sabrina worked many different jobs in her life; some of those included: Century 21 as a real estate agent, Old New England Coffee shop, Knox Hospital, Head Start teacher, waitress at many locations, and most recently she worked for Maine Behavioral Health. Her favorite job of all was being a mother.

She spent all of her days helping everyone around her. Sabrina always had a way of seeing the good in the world. She was a friend to everyone she met.

Sabrina is predeceased by her mother, Leith Dow; father, Robert Dow; grandmother Minnie Dow; sister Tanya Grotton; brother Raymond Dow; sister Olga Ames; and uncle George Grotton.

She is survived by her husband, David Stewart of Owls Head; her daughter Charity Stewart of Brewer, her grandsons Van Severson of Waterville and Andrew Severson of Lincoln; Tiffany Nazworth, her partner Jason Morse, grandson Denver, all of Cushing; her daughter Makayla and grandson Caiden of Warren; her daughter Jazmyn and son Brock both of Owls Head; her sister Nacia Miller of Augusta; sister Crystal Allen of Rockland; brother Clyde Dow of Boothbay; her brother Anthony Dow of Rockland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that were like family.

A memorial service will be held on April 30, 2022, at 11 a.m., at the Thomaston Baptist Church, 212 Main St., Thomaston, Maine.

Cremation services were arranged by Burpee, Carpenter, and Hutchins funeral home in Rockland.
