ROCKPORT — Registration is now open for fall and winter ice hockey at the Midcoast Recreation Center. 

8U Ice Hockey: This season will run Oct. 5 to March 22 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is a $100 deposit due at the time of registration. September 14 is the registration deadline. Any registrations after this date will be subject to a $50 surcharge. Full cost is $350. Register by clicking here. 

Fast Track Hockey: Perfect for anyone who took some time off hockey but wants to get back into it and join a team before the end of the year. Also great for the new to hockey but already an intermediate skater. Three month Learn to Play Hockey Program, then join a team! $100 for the first 3 months. Free gear and 2 practices per week. Only Mondays for October, then Mondays and Fridays. From October 4 to December 31 4:30 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. Complete registration by clicking here. 

6U Ice Hockey: Mighty-mites introduces kids into playing cross-ice games as well as having a heavy focus on Fun and skill development. Total cost is $225. There is an initial deposit of $75. After the initial deposit, an auto draft of $30 will be set up for the remaining balance. This program runs Oct. 4 to March 25 on Mondays and Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. Registration can be completed by clicking here. 

Bruins Academy Learn to Play: For a registration fee of $180, the program includes a full set of equipment to keep (elbow pads, equipment bag, hockey gloves, hockey pants, ice hockey helmet with cage, jersey, shin guards, shoulder pads, skates, socks and stick), personalized fitting, four weeks on-ice instruction from certified coaches. Players must be ages 5-9 on registration date. Program intended for children who have not participated in an organized hockey program or Learn to Play before.
