ROCKPORT — After missing the 2020 season due to the pandemic, the Camden Hills varsity football team is eager to return to the gridiron this fall ahead of its debut as an eight-man football team in the MPA large school division.

As such, Windjammer head football coach Chris Christie and his coaching staff invite returning players, as well as interested rising ninth through 12 graders who will be attending the school this fall to participate in the annual July conditioning camp.

The sessions are designed to prepare bodies and minds for the upcoming season while providing a safe and supportive player community towards becoming the so-called total athlete.

The coaching staff boasts decades worth of dedication and support to the Camden Hills program with all coming up through the Five Town Football feeder program before reaching the high school ranks.

The camp will be held during the weeks of July 5-8, July 12-15, July 19-22 and July 26-29. Sessions run 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are free of charge.
