Camden Select Board to consider placing $9.75 million municipal budget before voters

    CAMDEN — The Camden Select Board meets this evening to approve a June town meeting warrant and proposed $9.75 million 2021-2022 municipal budget. This budget is up 2.12 percent from the current budget of $9.55 million.

    With municipal revenue anticipated to be $3,699,121, the total fiscal impact on taxpayers is set at $6,057,630.

    Other topics on the agenda include putting before voters at the June Town Meeting an interlocal agreement with Rockport (that town’s Select Board already approved putting the agreement before voters at its town meeting) with the goal being, “to establish a regional municipal utility district to provide or, through public-private partnerships, to support or promote broadband services, internet services, and to issue revenue bonds in support of any of the activities undertaken therein....”
