Boys Tennis
Camden Hills 4, Maranacook 1… The Camden Hills boys tennis team went to 2-0 on the season with a 4-1 win at the Midcoast Recreation Center in Rockport over the visiting Maranacook Black Bears.
Individual results with Camden Hills players listed first are, in singles, Austin Pohlman (2-0) beat Alec 6-2, 6-3; Marc Balley (1-1) lost to Kelby Mace 6-1, 6-0; and Luke Burstein (1-1) defeated Tommy LanPhear 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles, Peter Vannorsdall (2-0) and Josh Pitcairn (2-0) defeated Caleb Jackson and Thomas Vance 6-2, 6-3; and Shawn Albertson (1-0) and Alex Forcillo (1-0) defeated Zach Galati and Nick Galati 6-1, 6-0.

Girls Tennis
Oceanside 5, Gardiner 0… The Oceanside girls tennis team continued to roll as they captured their second win in as many matches on the season Wednesday with a solid win over Gardiner.
"Overall we played quite well as a team today," said Oceanside head coach Nick Blais. "Everyone held their own on the courts. Second doubles struggled again, but even after being down in their second set managed to get themselves back in the game and win a tiebreaker to end their match. My singles players gave another very strong performance which was great to see."
Individual results of the match with Oceanside players listed first were, in singles, Kasie Waters beat Hannah Luken 6-1, 6-2; Phoebe Ferraiolo beat Meghan Williams 6-0, 6-2; and Forfeited by Gardiner (Not enough eligible players).
In doubles, Vieno Carter and Hannah Lacasse beat Isabella Ucci and Anatasia Carl 6-2, 6-2; and Afton Hupper and Lily Butler beat Haley Tomberlain and Sissy Smith 6-4, 7-6 (Tiebreaker 7-5).
Singles Exhibition - Lindsey Joyce beat Bri Mosher 8-2; and doubles exhibition - Alayna Joyce and Rachel DelFrate lost to Haley Tomberlain and Sissy Smith 6-7 (Tiebreaker 2-7).
Softball
Oceanside 10, Morse 1… The Oceanside girls softball team traveled to Bath Wednesday to take on Morse in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference match up.
Rachel Frye recored another no hitter despite giving up an unearned run in seven innings in the circle allowing two walks while striking out eight.
Joyce McNeil pitched for the Shipbuilders going seven innings allowing 10 runs on 14 hits and a walk while striking out nine.
"We played well today, we made one error and it cost us, but that happens and we will learn from our mistakes and continue to get better each game," said manager Rusty Worcester. "Rachel Frye was tough once again getting all her pitches over for strikes and keeping her defense involved in the game. Molly Mellor at shortstop and Kennadi Grover at first made some great defensive plays during the game."
Hitting for Oceanside were, Brooke Dugan (home run, double, triple, 4 RBIs), Emma Davis (3 singles, RBI), Rachel Frye (home run, double, 2 RBIs), Molly Mellor (2 singles, RBI), Kennadi Grover (single), Hannah Plourde (single, RBI), Maggie Drinkwater (single, RBI), and Abby Hersom (single).
Next up for the undefeated Mariners will Camden Hills home Friday at 4 p.m.

Baseball
Morse 6, Oceanside 5… The Mariners oat a tough hard fought game Wednesday leaving the bases loaded in the top of the seventh one run shy of the comeback as Morse held on for the win.
“Despite the loss very pleased with our never say die approach," said Oceanside Manager Don Shields. "Ryan Allender did a great job in relief and I was very happy with our overall approach at the plate. Plus defensively we played errorless baseball. I feel we are very close to stringing together some wins.”
Pitching for Oceanside were Drew Townsend (0-1) who went 1 2/3 innings allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out two. Allender pitched four 1/3 innings of superb relief allowing six hits with four strikeouts.
For Morse, Tristan Morse (win) pitched 6 2/3 innings allowing five runs on 11 hits and three walks while fanning three. Liam McDonough pitched 1/3 inning for the save.
Leading the way for Oceanside were, Zac Roman (4 singles), Ryan Allender (2 doubles, single), Nick Mazurek (single, double).
For Morse, Paul Whalen (3 singles), Liam McDonough (2 singles), Ethan Winglass (2 singles), Zach Holbrook (single, double) and Chris Paulus (home run, 3 RBIs).
Next up will be home April 26 at 4 p.m. when the Mariners host Camden Hills.

Boys Lacrosse
Camden Hills 7, Morse 4 - JV Game… A massive full moon rose in a clear, fresh spring sky above the group of young men playing 'the Creators game' in Bath, Wednesday evening. Enjoying a full roster of mostly young underclassmen, the Windjammers always had fresh legs on the field, important in a running game. Lacrosse has been called the fastest game on 2 legs.
