ROCKPORT — The dance team from Studio RED, in Rockport, is representing Midcoast Maine on the Disney World stage in February.  

Fifty-eight dancers and their families are traveling to the sunshine state to perform two 25-five-minute programs and take workshop classes with the professional dancers of Walt Disney World. The dancers range in age from 6 to 23 and will present nine dance selections of various styles, including hip hop, tap, acro, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theater in each performance.  

This is the second time the dance team has traveled to Walt Disney world to perform, the first being in 2014 with a team of 30 dancers, according to Studio RED, in a news release. The dance team is sponsored by many local businesses and sponsors.  

Studio Red is currently located at the Riley School, 73 Warrenton Street, in Rockport, and offers dance classes in all age ranges and styles.
