Medomak Valley golf splits tri-match

MANCHESTER — The Medomak Valley golf team traveled to Manchester on Thursday, Sept. 5 to participate in a tri-match with Maranacook and Gardiner at the Augusta Country Club.
Originally, Medomak Valley was slated to compete against Maranacook on Sept. 4, but weather conditions resulted in the Sept. 5 tri-match being formed as Medomak Valley was already slated to play Gardiner on Thursday.
In the tri-match, Medomak Valley beat Maranacook 6-3 and fell to Gardiner 8-1.
Drew Kelley of Gardiner was the day’s medalist.
Medomak Valley’s next match will be a home match at the Rockland Golf Club on Monday, Sept. 9 against Maine Central Institute and Lincoln Academy at 3:30 p.m.
