David G. Noyes, obituary
SPRUCE HEAD — David George Noyes, 89, loving husband of Barbara Noyes, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Sussman Hospice House, in Rockport.
Born in Detroit, MI, September 30, 1929 he was the second child of Fredrick and Ruth (Seaver) Noyes. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1947, and attended Albion College majoring in accounting. After a brief time in the Army he went to work in Battle Creek, MI for the district office of Sherwin Williams Co.
There he met and married his wife Barbara (Bradstrum) Noyes on Sept. 16, 1961.
Moving to Rhode Island in June of 1967 he founded MDC, a practice management company for physicians and dentists. He retired in 1992 to Spruce Head, turning the management of the company to his three partners.
Fun and travel with his two children and wife were a big part of his life. Beginning in 1976 the family sailed to Maine in the summers and skied at Sugarloaf and in the West in the winters. Tennis was a life-long love which
began in high school and continued until July of this summer. Dave and the late Ken Crane coached Rockland High School boys tennis for a time.
After retiring, he enjoyed working in his veggie garden, puzzles of all kinds, playing tennis with his friends and the St. George Community Tennis group. Dave’s quick wit and ready smile will be remembered by his many friends.
Mr. Noyes is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son, Charles Noyes and his wife Erica; his daughter, Elizabeth Mlynek; a sister, Nancy Sakala and her husband Richard; a brother, Thomas Noyes; as well as several nieces and nephews.
