Maine Lobster Festival seeks volunteers

ROCKLAND — The Maine Lobster Festival is looking for volunteers to fill a number of positions at this year’s Festival July 31-Aug. 4. Every year, it takes more than 1,300 volunteers to make the Festival a success, according to the Festival, in a news release. There’s a job for every age and ability level.

Volunteering at the Festival is not only an opportunity to meet people from across the country and make memories, but it also comes with some perks. Volunteers will receive an exclusive volunteer T-shirt and a half-price food voucher for the eating tent for every four-hour shift worked. With the T-shirt, volunteers will get free admission to the festival, even if they aren’t volunteering that day.

As a volunteer-run organization, all Festival profits go toward running the next year’s Festival and supporting the community.
