BELFAST — The Waldo Judicial Center officially opened for business March 8, following roughly 18 months of construction.

The two-story center, which consolidates Belfast’s two former courthouses, is located on Market Street and features three courtrooms.

Construction on the building began in early 2018, with the build essentially finished in February 2019,  minus some features and finishing touches.

A preview tour was held for the media March 7, led by Chief Justice Leigh Saufley and James "Ted" Glessner, State Court Administrator.
