Boothbay Harbor’s Opera House is presenting a line-up of music to chase away winter and welcome spring this March. From Ireland’s shores, to the best of the Midcoast, each upcoming weekend holds some great cabin fever relieving night’s out including Téada, Scotti River Trio, and Reverie Road.

Tickets are selling quickly for the acclaimed Irish group Téada, headed for the main stage on Saturday, March 4. Celebrating 21 years as one of Ireland’s leading traditional bands with a truly worldwide reach, Téada has appeared as a frequent headliner at major music festivals throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, Russia, Israel and Australia. Highlights include a 30,000-capacity stadium concert in Brittany, along with performances at Rainforest World Music Festival & Penang World Music Festival in Malaysia, Edmonton Folk Festival in Canada, Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe and World Music Festival Taiwan. This is the first of two St. Patrick’s Day inspired concerts during March. Tickets $30, advance discounted tickets $25. Concert at 7:30 p.m.

Steve Jones, Scott Elliot and Paul Mellyn make up the group Scotti River Trio, performing in the upstairs bar at the Opera House on Friday, March 10 at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 for an evening with this trio of extraordinary guitar playing musicians who can, and do, play from multiple genres. Tonight will feature blues, folk, country, rock and more. Advance discounted tickets are $10 and available directly from the box office. Regular tickets are $15 on the day of the show.

Reverie Road is a fresh, eclectic Celtic combination, featuring fiddler Winifred Horan and accordionist John Williams who were founding members of Solas, alongside former Gaelic Storm fiddler Katie Grennan and jazz and raga pianist Utsav Lal (Young Steinway Artist). This powerful combination is made up of four of today's leading traditional and virtuosic folk artists who have captured the hearts of international audiences from studios to stages over the last three decades.

Firmly grounded in their collective Irish roots, Reverie Road embraces humor with musical insight and natural abilities. Original textural adventures weave the roots of Irish musical traditions with new departures and curated gems including distilled airs, continental waltzes, and upbeat reels and jigs. The band chemistry of two accomplished classically-trained fiddlers who share a common history as award winning Irish dancers along with two instrumentalists who have sought to redefine traditional accompaniment and rhythm sections amount to a compelling concert experience. Reverie Road takes to the main stage on Saturday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $25, regular tickets are $30.

Advance discounted tickets are available only from the box office at 86 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor – 207-633-5159. Regular tickets are available online at boothbayoperahouse.com and on the day of the performance. The most current calendar of Opera House events is available at boothbayoperahouse.com.
