Winter sowing to begin Merryspring 2026 Tuesday Talks series
Melanie Feinberg will lead an online presentation called Winter Sowing, hosted by Merryspring Nature Center, Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 12 p.m.
"Set up your winter sowing in January and you will be transplanting the most rigorous seedlings you have ever grown in the spring," said Merryspring, in a news release. "Depending on the varieties you choose, you could have first-year blooms by the end of the season. This method does not require grow lights, heat mats or irrigation. If you struggle to germinate perennials and biennials in Zone 4b/5a, you won’t want to miss this."
This talk is the first of Merryspring’s Online Winter Talk series, generously sponsored by Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
To watch the live broadcast on the big screen in the conference room at Merryspring Nature Center, 30 Conway Road in Camden, plan to arrive before 12 p.m. to avoid noise interference during recording.
Thanks to the generosity of the Cascade Foundation, the talks will also be recorded for future viewing on Merryspring's YouTube channel.
