JACKSON — William James "Billy" Rigby Jr., 50, of Jackson, passed away on Feb. 18, 2017. Billy was born in Belfast on Dec. 8, 1966, to Deborah (Ward) and William J. Rigby Sr.

He worked as a backyard mechanic as well as for Mt. View High School and Industrial Metals. He enjoyed his work and tinkering, computers and a refreshing Pepsi. He was a “Jack-of-all-trades” – he could plumb and fix furnaces and small electrical items. He enjoyed motorcycles and his favorite car was a Buick.

He was predeceased by his father; and an aunt, Sandra Harriman.

Billy is survived by his mother, Deborah Cole and husband, Carlton, of Searsport; his wife, Penny Rigby; his daughter, Jade Rigby; his son, Will Rigby; and his stepchild, Briann Bennett, all of Jackson; as well as his siblings, Betsy Brown and her husband, Robert, Jason Rigby and Megan Daigle.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Jackson Grange Hall.
